Not as good as Shame, but his voice still sounds great.

I spoke to CDBaby last night and 300ft Gorilla is expected to be on there in a few weeks.

That's got some memories coming back.  Not many though!  21st Century is sweet as.

Despotify looks promising as a 3rd party client, but the official client looks too much like a load of fruit-themed technology for me....

Quite a few Tony Levin bits on there I've not easily been able to get hold of too.

Let's hope it's a return to form , rather than another Amalgamut!

With that reply, you - Sir - are indeed the master of understatement.

For someone with such a great rock voice, it's almost tearjerking hearing Autotune on his vocals....  had a fairly heavy discussion over this at work with one of the lads, agreeing at the end that we'd like to smack Timbaland with a chunk of clue-by-four.

Can you imagine some little chart Charva coming across Spoonman or Jesus Christ Pose for the first time?!  "urgh, I can't dance to this" or "OMFG pwnage, this is less than 180bpm".

It's sounds like a Madonna record to start with. Then you hear him sing - and you're right Zak, I then had to put on Jesus Christ Pose to remind me what he should sound like.

When I was in Canada in 07 there was talk on the news of a Soundgarden reformation. I doubt that will happen now - the rest of the band will be too busy taking the piss out of Cornell to play any music

I just can't help myself with this one....

Really liking the new version as well.  Subtle in places, but still fresh as it ever was.

I can't hear any significant differences on the Re-master on my studio monitors. Fairly pointless really.

I'm not really a fan of Brendan O'Brien's work. He's recorded some great albums but seems to make them sound very harsh in the mix. Even my favourite -  Dogman could be a lot better when listening on a proper system. And he's managed to do the same trick with Ten. Too toppy, harsh and tiring to listen to IMO.

Senser - the guitar sound is still to thin, but the drummer and bass player still sound good. The cockney rapping means it doesn't sound dated either!

http://open.spotify.com/album/2VONKPaQ5u7H7oFPsKJ2m6

Still it's not as good as Age of Panic (unfortunately unavailable on Spotify)

Did you ever get your hands on the album the "rapper" and a few of the players from Senser did, called the band Lodestar.  Was him plus the drummer and "haggis", the engineery-type geezer.... know the disc's in the house somewhere but I've not ripped it to the media box.

I reckon I'll be there.... Not on the other side of the planet this time so can't really give a valid excuse otherwise!

No one ever comes to gigs when they say they will!

Out of 30 promises to my last ark gig not ONE actually turned up.

I got 3 people in. Mick got 2 people in. Paul got 5 I think.

Very disappointing.

The truth of the matter is though, after a certain age, people don't want to come out on a work night.
